Is it time for a new beginning?

Hi Audie,
I hope all is going well, and you're enjoying the beginning of Fall. 🍂 I love the changing colors of the trees and cooler, less humid weather. But I'm not a big fan of the shorter daylight hours and darkness at 6 a.m.🕕 when I wake up to get my walk in before my day really starts.
I have a confession to make: I've been remiss in sharing valuable job search related content with you for a number of months. And I've missed connecting with you.
Earlier this year, I made a tough decision to move off of the software platform I had been using to run my business. For some time, I was feeling stuck and held back, as that platform wasn't compatible with other software I wanted to utilize which would enable me to provide additional support, resources and services to my current and prospective clients.
After months of inquiring about specific updates and learning that these enhancements weren't on the horizon, I realized it was time for me to move on to a more robust and agile software platform.
I had mixed feelings leaving as my then-young business had really blossomed as a result of their software, business growth training, the amazing people who run and support the business, the impactful programs they offer to their users... and the wonderful community of like-minded entrepreneurs I met along the way (many of whom I now call friends).
But I was being held back from what I wanted (needed) to do to continue growing my business, and, most importantly, providing expanded levels of support, programs and services that will help mid- to senior-level corporate leaders succeed in their job search journey (and help others launch or expand their own service-based business).
So, I've spent much of this year transitioning over to my new software platform (it takes so much longer than I ever imagined!), learning the ins and outs of it with the guidance and support of a business coach/platform expert -- ALL WHILE continuing to network, coach and serve my clients.
While the transition hasn't been easy, it's been well worth it! I am re-energized and excited to roll out new programs that will make a positive impact in other's lives, and I'm no longer feeling weighed down or held back! 😊
So now you may be asking "what does this have to do with my career?"
A lot!
🎯 Are you feeling held back, bored or unsatisfied in your current role, know you are ready to handle additional responsibilities and new challenges, yet you don't see advancement opportunities at your current company in the near future?
🎯 Are you feeling unsettled at work - something has shifted inside you and you want to make a bigger impact and feel more fulfilled in your work? You yearn for the day you're excited to jump out of bed in the morning and look forward to your work day?
🎯 Do you work in a toxic environment and it's affecting your health and wellbeing ... and perhaps even your personal relationships?
One of the hardest things in life -- and especially at work -- is feeling stuck in a situation that no longer serves you (or you're feeling held back) and you want to make a change.
Fear often stop us in our tracks.
We exhaust ourselves in trying to decide whether to stay or begin looking elsewhere, we try to talk ourselves into thinking our situation isn't so bad -- even though we are bored stiff, are working in a toxic environment, we're worried we won't get hired elsewhere because of our age, etc.
If this is you, it's a good idea to examine the stories you are telling yourself as to why you stay where you're at if you truly want to advance in your career, have a more fulfilling role, and/or move to a healthier work environment. You have the power to change the stories you tell yourself. And you have the power (and freedom) to make a healthy job or career change.
Once you decide you want to make a job/career change, you don't have to do it on your own.
Are any of the following (or others) preventing you from looking for your next opportunity elsewhere?
👉 Fear of the unknown ("the devil you know is better than the devil you don't")
👉 You're unsure what you want to do next and how best to find it in today's business climate
👉 It's been years since you've interviewed (and you weren't comfortable interviewing or having to "toot your own horn" back then)
👉 The thought of looking for a new position feels daunting and overwhelming
